Booking cleaning in a Miami condo: check the building first

Inter Cleaning Miami3 min read

The sofa may take up most of the photos, but the building can determine whether the appointment works. A locked loading area or an unreserved service elevator can stop a visit before anyone reaches your door. Check the building rules while you are getting your cleaning quote.

Ask management for the current requirements

Contact your building office before choosing a date. Ask which hours vendors may work, whether registration is needed and how much notice they require. Request their written instructions rather than relying on what another resident remembers from a previous job.

If the building asks for insurance paperwork or a certificate with specific wording, send those requirements to us before booking. We need to confirm what can be provided and accepted. A tentative appointment is not the same as building approval.

Reserve the route to the apartment

Ask whether a service elevator or loading bay needs a separate reservation. Find out how the crew enters, where equipment may be unloaded and whether temporary parking is allowed. Share the entrance address if it differs from the street address on the building.

Tell us about stairs, long corridors, gate codes handled by a concierge, and any elevator size restrictions. Do not post private access codes in public comments or review pages. Arrange them directly when the visit is confirmed.

Make the quote describe the actual items

Photograph the full sofa, rug or carpeted room, not just one stain. Include labels, sizes, loose cushions and any pet odor history. For more than one apartment, list the items by unit and confirm who can grant entry to each one.

Ask what furniture must move and who will move it. A building access plan does not answer whether a heavy bed or entertainment unit can be moved as part of cleaning.

Allow time after the crew leaves

Cleaning and drying are separate parts of planning the day. Tell us if guests, movers or a furniture delivery are expected afterward. Ask how the cleaned materials should be left and when normal use can resume; do not plan around a drying time copied from a different fabric or job.

Keep a clear route through the apartment and arrange somewhere else for pets. If the air conditioning is off or the unit has been closed for weeks, mention that before the appointment.

Confirm the details in one message

Once management has answered, send the building requirements alongside your cleaning photos. Agree on the scope, price and access arrangements before putting the visit on the calendar. If an elevator reservation changes, let us know as soon as possible.

  • Building address, unit, floor and contact for arrival.
  • Approved work window and elevator or loading reservation.
  • Vendor paperwork requirements and their approval deadline.
  • Items to clean, access obstacles and plans for drying afterward.
